We are seeking a highly skilled Trial Attorney licensed in Texas and/or California to join our growing personal injury law firm in Texas. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of litigation experience, a deep understanding of the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure (or California Rules, if licensed there), and a strong ability to manage a docket of 50+ litigation cases efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate and litigate personal injury cases, including motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, medical malpractice, and other injury-related claims.
  • Manage cases from the filing of the petition through trial and, if necessary, appeals.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses while ensuring accuracy and adherence to procedural rules.
  • Review discovery responses and evidence to develop a solid case strategy and prove liability.
  • Ensure all evidence is properly obtained and admissible to support the client’s claims and legal theories.
  • Represent clients in depositions, mediations, hearings, trials, and all court proceedings.
  • Negotiate settlements.
  • Try cases before a jury and advocate aggressively for maximum client compensation.
  • Effectively manage a litigation docket of at least 50 cases while maintaining case progress and deadlines.
  • Collaborate with legal staff and work well in a team-oriented environment.
  • Stay updated on relevant case law, procedural rules, and legal strategies to strengthen case outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Licensed to practice law in Texas and/or California (Must be in good standing).
  • Minimum 5 years of litigation experience in personal injury law.
  • Trial experience required, with a strong background in depositions, hearings, and courtroom advocacy.
  • Thorough knowledge of the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure (or California’s equivalent if licensed there).
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently manage a heavy litigation docket.
  • Strong written and oral advocacy skills to effectively present cases in court.
  • Self-sufficient and proactive in case management while also being a team player.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
