Base pay range

$230,000.00/yr - $260,000.00/yr

Our client is an established real estate investment firm who are seeking an Associate General Counsel to support a wide range of legal functions. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex commercial transactions and regulatory matters in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

About the role:

Reports to: General Counsel

Compensation Expectations: $230k - $260k base + Additional bonus

Responsibilities:

• Oversee commercial property acquisitions, dispositions, and financings.
• Draft and negotiate purchase/sale agreements, construction contracts, corporate documents, and fund formation materials.
• Manage legal due diligence, closings, and post-closing matters.
• Assist with insurance claims, permitting documentation, and environmental compliance reviews.
• Coordinate with internal teams, outside counsel, and consultants on various transactional and operational matters.

Qualifications:

• JD from an accredited law school and active Bar license.
• 4-8 years of commercial real estate legal experience , including transactional work from acquisition through disposition.
• Exposure to fund formation and SEC compliance is a plus.
• Strong drafting, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word; working knowledge of Outlook and Excel.
