Duties:
- Prepare contracts, briefs, motions, and other legal documents.
- Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation.
- Attend legal proceedings, including hearings, depositions, and trials.
- Provide legal counsel alongside senior associates and partners.
- Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients.
- Maintain detailed and accurate client records and case files.
- Supervise paralegals and administrative assistants in daily operations.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active member of the State Bar.
- Proven experience in Insurance Defense, particularly in Workers' Compensation (preferred but not required).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to analyze and resolve complex legal issues.
- Effective negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment.
Education:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
- Active Bar membership in the relevant state(s).
- Certification or experience in Insurance Defense (preferred, but not required).
Skills:
- Legal research and writing proficiency.
- Expertise in drafting legal documents, including contracts and motions.
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
