Shift: 12-hour D/N Rotate (36 hrs/week, guaranteed)
Start: ASAP | Orientation: 12 hrs
Contract: 13 weeks

 

Job Details

  • Unit: LDRP RN
  • Beds: 7 L&D | 12 Postpartum | 8 Surgical | 3 triage bays
  • OR Suites: 1 dedicated C-section OR + 2 GYN surgical ORs
  • Births: ~643 annually
  • Ratios (AWHONN):
    • L&D: 1:1–2
    • Postpartum: 1:2–3 couplets | 1:3–4 surgical/med

Requirements

  • Experience: 3 years of recent LDRP.
  • Certifications: BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate (Advanced preferred), STABLE
  • Skills:
    • Labor, antepartum, triage, postpartum, and surgical OB/GYN patients
    • Titrate drips: Pitocin, Magnesium, Insulin
    • Medications: Procardia, Labetalol, TXA, Methergine, Hemabate, Cytotec, Cervidil
    • Newborn stabilization & postpartum recovery
    • Scrubbing preferred (OB procedures)

Department Info

  • Charge Nurse: Yes, also takes assignment; travelers won’t be charged
  • Providers: OB on call 24/7, NNP overnight, Neo on call, Anesthesia in-house 24/7
  • Monitoring: GE/Corometrics EFM; RNs read own strips for C-sections, Phase 1 recovery
  • Floating: May float to Peds MS, NICU (feeder-growers), Med/Surg, PCU, ICU, ED, Psych (as sitter/helping hands)
  • EMR: Epic

Scheduling

  • Shifts: 7a-7p / 7p-7a (rotational, set 6 weeks in advance)
  • Weekends: Every 3rd
  • Holidays: As needed
