OnBase Developer II
The OnBase Developer II is responsible for troubleshooting systems errors and communicating the impacts of these errors to impacted parties throughout the resolution process. This role supports over 1000 staff users across the University. The person in this role will have the ability to understand the OnBase system and how it relates to other system and business processes within UMGC. They will provide tier two and tier three support for users across the organization. The incumbent will be expected to learn business processes, research questions and concerns and engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. This position is expected to actively seek out innovative new processes, inform leadership to enable sound decision making and will provide recommendations on how to update current business processes to support the University's strategic and operational needs. Duties and Responsibilities
Provide programming support to extend functionality of the OnBase Platform Analyze business processes to identify and implement automation of repetitive tasks and scripted job aids Peer review and test new and revised programmatic functionality as requested by another team member to verify visual and functional quality Understand business process and requirements to provide technical solutions that meet customer needs Research and suggest new approaches and technologies Work with internal and external customers to clearly define requirements, uncover business rules and processes, and create user stories Work with vendor resources to ensure technical issues are evaluated to root cause Implement system enhancements related to OnBase configuration Develop and maintain workflow solutions in the OnBase platform Coordinate departmental requested changes in the OnBase system including initial analysis to implementation of configuration changes needed to support new business processes Create initial training material to support implemented departmental changes Skills
Software development process, including agile/scrum methodology Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience with unit testing and automated testing tools Excellent attention to detail Demonstrated ability to solve challenging technical problems, successfully deploy projects and complete assigned tasks Customer relationship management OnBase API development including XML OnBase workflow development with integrations to other systems such as PeopleSoft, DocuSign and SalesForce Education & Experience Requirements
Experience: 5 or more years of experience as an OnBase programmer including API support Preferred Experience Requirements Education: Bachelor's degree Experience: Experience working in Higher Ed with PeopleSoft SIS All submissions should include a cover letter and resume.
