The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a generalist MLT, specifically with expertise in blood banking within a hospital environment. Key Responsibilities: - Perform laboratory tests and analyses related to blood banking.- Ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results in compliance with established protocols.- Collaborate effectively with healthcare teams to provide high-quality patient care.- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, including Siemens and Syntex systems.- Adhere to safety and regulatory guidelines. Qualifications: - Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician with a focus on blood banking.- Certification from ASCP and NJ Licensure is required.- Current AHA BLS certification.- Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to quality. Work Schedule: - Evening shift from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM.- Required to work every other weekend and potentially one holiday per contract. Orientation Details: - Successful completion of the full orientation program is mandatory; rescheduling classes is not permitted.- Candidates will receive detailed information regarding orientation via email prior to the start date, including virtual sessions and necessary modules.- In-person classes typically run from Tuesday to Thursday and can occur at various locations.
