The ideal candidate will perform and result laboratory procedures accurately, adhering to established quality assurance protocols. This role involves assisting in the collection of laboratory specimens, performing instrument maintenance, and keeping accurate records. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct laboratory procedures with precision and accuracy, ensuring compliance with quality assurance standards.- Assist in the collection of laboratory specimens from patients.- Maintain laboratory instruments, ensuring they are in proper working order and documenting maintenance activities.- Act as a resource for laboratory services, addressing inquiries and resolving issues effectively.- Operate standard clinical laboratory instrumentation with a high degree of skill.- Maintain manual dexterity and visual acuity to conduct tests and analyze specimens.- Demonstrate excellent organizational skills to prioritize and manage work effectively in a fast-paced environment.- Utilize critical thinking skills to evaluate information logically and systematically troubleshot issues as they arise.- Foster positive relationships with colleagues and clients through excellent customer relations skills, using diplomacy and tact to diffuse high-tension situations. Qualifications: - Current certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) preferred, preferably from ASCP.- Experience with EPIC/Beaker computer systems is preferred.- Must reside outside a 60-mile radius.
