The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience and hold a valid New York State license (or proof of application). This position involves performing a range of laboratory testing and working with various diagnostic equipment. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct routine laboratory tests in hematology, chemistry, coagulation, microbiology, and blood bank settings.- Operate and maintain laboratory instruments such as Sysmex and Siemens Vista.- Perform and analyze CBCs and other hematology testing including coagulation and urinalysis.- Participate in blood bank procedures including type and screen tests.- Engage in routine microbiology tasks, including handling and processing cultures.- Follow established protocols for quality control and assurance within the lab environment.- Document and report test results accurately and efficiently.- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support patient care. Qualifications: - Valid New York State license or proof of application.- ASCP certification (MT/CLS/MLS) is required; MLT applicants will not be accepted.- Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience within the last 2 years preferred, especially with EPIC software.- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes.- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled. Work Environment: - Dress Code: Scrubs are preferred; lab coats and closed-toe shoes are required.- Orientation: Initial training will include three weeks of M-F daytime shifts, followed by ten days of rotating 10-hour shifts, including weekends.
