Shift: 19:30 - 07:30
Location: Las Cruces, NM
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team in the Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit. You will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care for diverse populations, including adult and geriatric patients. Your expertise is invaluable in creating a safe and effective environment, promoting patient wellness, and facilitating a positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based nursing care as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records utilizing the Meditech electronic health record system.
- Monitor patient health, recognizing and responding to changes in condition in a timely manner.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, medications, and post-discharge care.
- Float to other Medical/Surgical units as needed to ensure continuity of care.
- Adhere to all safety and health regulations, demonstrating the highest standards of care.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid RN license in the state of New Mexico or possess the ability to obtain licensure prior to employment.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry nursing environment.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Number of Beds: 24
- Patient Ratios: 1:6
- Supervisor: Ronn Wilson
- Specialty Areas: Med-Surg, Telemetry
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Dress Code:
- Scrubs (any color acceptable).
