Job Title: LPN/LVN

Description:
This position is for a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse in a Medical-Surgical environment.
The unit consists of 36 beds with patient ratios of 1:6, occasionally 1:7 during surge periods.
Staff support includes unit secretaries and LNAs for both shifts.
The type of equipment used includes telemetry.
The documentation system utilized is Meditech Expanse.
Scheduling requires three 12-hour shifts, every other weekend, and rotating holidays.
There is a floating policy that allows floating to the same level of care.
Patient experience requirements include bedside shift report, hourly safety rounding, and personal connections.
Advanced skills required include IV certification.
Common procedures performed on the unit include CBI, wound care, drain management, foley insertion, central line dressing changes, telemetry monitoring, and EKGs.
Self-scheduling is available, with leadership reserving the right to communicate the need to balance schedules.
