Accounting Assistant
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team in Bedford, Massachusetts. This is a long-term contract position ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is skilled in managing financial transactions with accuracy and efficiency. The role involves a variety of accounting tasks, including handling accounts payable and receivable, processing invoices, and maintaining accurate financial records.
Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice coding and timely payment processing.
- Handle accounts receivable tasks, ensuring accurate recording and reconciliation of incoming payments.
- Perform bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
- Utilize QuickBooks to manage and organize financial data efficiently.
- Review and code invoices to ensure compliance with company policies and standards.
- Assist in preparing financial reports and documentation for management.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all transactions and reports.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and ensure accuracy in financial operations.
- Provide support during audits and assist with compliance-related tasks.
- Communicate effectively with vendors and clients to address payment inquiries and issues.
- Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software.
- Strong understanding of bank reconciliations and financial recordkeeping.
- Ability to accurately code invoices and ensure compliance with company standards.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to interact with vendors, clients, and team members.
- Familiarity with preparing financial reports and supporting audits.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
