is seeking a
Union HR Representative
to join a growing and dynamic team! This position serves as a thoughtful and tactical business partner by ensuring compliance and collaboration across departments. The HRBP promotes and maintains positive relationships with managers, employees, and union representatives, and plays a key role in administering policies and managing various human resource functions.
Job Description:
Administer the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) and resolve labor relations matters including grievances, unfair labor practices, focus groups, and investigations. Serve as the primary liaison between management and union representatives, focusing on dispute resolution and contract interpretation. Develop and administer HR policies, procedures, and practices to ensure compliance with the CBA and federal/state laws. Train and partner with managers and employees to ensure HR policy compliance. Conduct investigations into employee concerns and implement effective solutions with leadership. Track and oversee the disciplinary action process while educating staff. Represent the organization in unemployment or labor dispute hearings. Foster strong, transparent relationships with managers, employees, and union representatives. Design and implement employee recognition programs and initiatives. Maintain systems for accurate records, audits, and compliance reports. Support HR functions including talent acquisition, onboarding, compensation, and leave administration. Contribute to HR process improvement projects and ensure a focus on safety and compliance. Adhere to organizational policies, department guidelines, and HR best practices.
Position Requirements:
SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred. Strong knowledge of business operations and aligning HR goals with organizational strategy. Proven experience in employee relations, dispute resolution, and HR compliance. Skilled communicator with the ability to engage at all organizational levels. Excellent coaching, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Proficiency in HRIS systems and Google Suite. Deep knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance requirements. Highly ethical with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information. Strong organizational and project management abilities.
