About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to join their executive leadership team. The CNO will be a visionary leader, responsible for the overall delivery and management of nursing professional practice, education, development, research, administration, and clinical services. This role requires a candidate who can ensure that the organization's values, goals, and objectives are reflected in daily operations, leading to a high-quality, efficient, and patient-centered environment. The successful candidate will be accountable for nursing practice, quality, education, and research, and will work to create a culture that recognizes and promotes excellence in clinical care. Collaboration with medical staff, particularly the Chief Medical Officer, is essential to enhance standards of work in nursing and clinical care.

Applicants for the CNO position at the company should have a Master's degree, with a BSN if the Master's is not in nursing, and be a Registered Nurse with current or eligible licensure in New Jersey. The ideal candidate will have extensive clinical nursing and management experience, with a minimum of 3-5 years in senior nursing leadership roles. Experience in a high-performing, measurement-driven organization and a contemporary leader who can effectively lead change in a complex environment are key. The CNO will be expected to have a track record of success in improving performance, patient flow, and collaboration, as well as experience in a Shared Governance nursing environment. Advanced Certification in Nursing Administration is recommended, and knowledge of Magnet principles is preferred. The role demands a leader with strong strategic, communication, and relationship-building skills, who is patient-oriented and passionate about nursing and healthcare.
