This position requires essential qualifications and a proactive approach to patient care in a fast-paced environment. As a Med/Surg Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality nursing care to our patients. Key Responsibilities: - Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients on a Med/Surg floor, adhering to best practices and protocols.- Maintain patient safety and comfort during their stay, ensuring a compassionate and supportive environment.- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate and implement patient care plans.- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accuracy and patient understanding.- Monitor and document patient progress, changes, and care needs using the Cerner charting system.- Participate in regular training and professional development to enhance skills and stay updated on best practices. Requirements: - Current Tennessee Nursing License (TN License).- Minimum of 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience required; 2 years preferred.- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.- Willingness to work every other weekend and holiday as needed.- Ability to float to different units as necessary.- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the healthcare team.- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility.
