OVERVIEW The Events & Programs Manager is responsible for the planning, execution, and oversight of all events and programs hosted by the Greater Sedona Chamber of Commerce. This includes a diverse portfolio of activities such as networking events, workshops, community gatherings, and annual signature events. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized, detail-oriented professional with a passion for creating engaging and impactful experiences that benefit our members and the broader Sedona community. Reports directly to the President & CEO. RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and manage comprehensive event plans, including timelines, budgets, vendor coordination, marketing strategies, and post-event evaluations. Secure and manage event venues, catering, audiovisual services, and other necessary resources. Recruit, train, and supervise event volunteers and temporary staff as needed. Collaborate with the marketing team to promote events effectively across various channels. Manage event registration, attendee communications, and on-site logistics. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with members, sponsors, vendors, and community partners. Identify and pursue new event opportunities and program initiatives that align with the Chamber's mission and strategic goals. Track and analyze event performance metrics to assess success and identify areas for improvement. Prepare detailed reports on event outcomes and financial performance for leadership. Ensure all events and programs adhere to Chamber policies, procedures, and legal requirements. Manage program development, implementation, and evaluation, including educational workshops and business development initiatives. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, hospitality management, or a related field (Preferred, not required) 5+ years of progressive experience in event management, preferably within a nonprofit, hospitality, or chamber of commerce environment. Proven track record of successfully planning and executing a variety of events, from small meetings to large-scale conferences. Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and presentation skills. Proficiency in event management software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Budget management experience and a strong understanding of financial principles related to events. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required for events Knowledge of the Sedona business community and local resources is a plus.
