This role requires a commitment to high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the operating room, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available.- Scrub and circulate in pediatric surgical cases, providing necessary support to the surgical team.- Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver optimal patient outcomes.- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and procedures while adhering to safety protocols. Qualifications: - Licensure: Must possess a valid New York State Surgical Technician License.- Experience: Minimum of two years of surgical technologist experience is required; experience in a Level 1 trauma center is preferred.- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required.- Pediatric Experience: Previous experience in a pediatric setting is preferred but not mandatory. Skills and Competencies: - Strong ability to scrub and circulate effectively during surgical procedures.- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.- Detail-oriented with a focus on patient care and safety.
