In this role, you will play a crucial part in preparing for and assisting in surgical procedures across various specialties, including general, orthopedic, OBGYN, podiatry, plastics, endoscopy, and trauma. Your expertise in managing the operating room and ensuring sterile conditions will be vital for patient safety and successful surgical outcomes. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare the operating room by arranging sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies.- Assist surgeons by passing instruments, fluids, and supplies during surgical procedures.- Maintain a sterile field throughout the surgery, ensuring all protocols are followed.- Perform counts of sponges, instruments, and supplies to prevent retained foreign objects.- Manage specimens and ensure proper handling and documentation.- Provide support during both adult and pediatric surgeries.- Participate in on-call rotations as required, including shifts on weekdays and weekends. Qualifications: - Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist.- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.- Demonstrated experience in a variety of surgical specialties.- Certification as a Surgical Technologist through an accredited program and national CST examination.- Excellent communication and organizational skills. Additional Information: - Fingerprints are required for all travel positions.- Hospital scrubs will be provided.- EMR systems utilized: MedHost (Inpatient) and PICIS (OR).- Please note that there are no options for a 48-hour guarantee or blocked scheduling during this contract.At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
