$225,000.00/yr - $250,000.00/yr This executive role leads HR strategy and operations for a CPG manufacturing company. Reporting directly to the CEO, the VP HR drives HR alignment with business objectives, enhances workforce performance, and ensures a robust HR infrastructure both at corporate and plant levels. Key Responsibilities Strategic HR Leadership Develop and implement HR strategies and people initiatives aligned with business growth and manufacturing objectives Collaborate with the executive team to embed HR initiatives into the overall corporate strategy. HR Operations Management Oversee full HR lifecycle: recruitment, onboarding, performance management, compensation & benefits, learning & development, talent succession, and offboarding. Ensure compliance with employment laws, manufacturing safety regulations, and CPG-industry standards. Lead and mentor the corporate HR leaders and plant-level HR Generalists; foster professional growth and maintain high performance. Build team culture to drive engagement, collaboration, and consistent HR delivery across corporate and manufacturing sites. Organizational Design & Change Management Support workforce planning, organizational design, and continuous structure refinement to support agile manufacturing needs. Lead workforce transformations, including expansions or restructurings, bridging corporate and plant HR. HR Analytics & Metrics Establish and utilize KPIs (e.g., turnover, time-to-hire, training, employee engagement) to measure HR effectiveness and inform strategic decisions. Use HR data to provide insights and drive improvements in areas like productivity and retention. Culture, Engagement & DE&I Shape a culture that reinforces company values, engagement, inclusion, and high performance. Lead DE&I initiatives and foster a diverse, positive workplace across corporate and manufacturing. Compliance & Risk Management Ensure HR policies and practices comply with complex regulatory requirements (e.g., EEO, OSHA, labor regulations). Implement best practices to minimize HR-related risk in unionized or non-union CPG environments. Manage HR budgets, forecasting, and investments in HR systems and vendor partnerships (e.g., payroll, benefits, training platforms). Executive Coaching & Stakeholder Partnership Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on organizational dynamics, workforce planning, succession, and talent strategies. Partner with plant leaders to embed HR support and align local workforce needs with corporate strategy. Required Qualifications Education : Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or relevant field; Master’s (MBA, MSHRM) preferred. Experience : 10+ years in progressive HR leadership, with 5–7+ years in a senior or VP-level role. Prior experience in CPG manufacturing or related industries, managing both corporate and plant-level HR. Proven track record handling change in organizations. HR Expertise : Deep understanding of manufacturing HR dynamics, labor law, DE&I, HRIS, compensation and benefits, and best practices in talent management and leadership development. Leadership & Communication : Strong executive presence, influencing skills, and interpersonal savvy. Demonstrated ability to coach senior leaders, drive accountability, and lead cross-functional initiatives. Desired Competencies Strategic mindset with an analytical approach. Comfort with ambiguity and rapid change. Experience with HR technology systems (e.g., Workday, SAP, UKG) and HR analytics tools.
