Speech-Language Pathologist (FMLA Coverage)
Location: Arlington Heights/Elk Grove Village area Grade Levels: K–5th Position Type: Full-Time | Onsite Contract Dates: Mid-November – Mid-March (FMLA leave coverage, with potential to extend) Schedule: 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM Compensation: $47 – $58 per hour (based on experience) About the Opportunity:
We’re seeking a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist to provide FMLA leave coverage. This role focuses on supporting the Educational Life Skills (ELS) program, serving students with adapted curriculum needs related to functional academics and life skills. Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech and language services to K–5 students in the ELS program Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service staff Conduct evaluations, develop/implement IEP goals, and participate in IEP meetings Support students in developing functional communication and life skills
Qualifications:
Illinois Speech-Language Pathology license and PEL required Experience with life skills or self-contained programs preferred Strong teamwork and communication skills
