Director of Sales – Plastics Manufacturing Powerhouse
Location: Onsite (Near Geneva, IL) | Compensation: 140-155k + Lucrative Commission + Full Benefits About the Role: We’re hiring on behalf of a major client in the plastics manufacturing space, and they’re on the hunt for a high-impact Director of Sales to take the reins of their dynamic sales department. What You'll Do: Lead & Inspire: Manage, mentor, and motivate a high-performing sales team to meet and exceed targets. Market Expansion: Identify and penetrate new market verticals with a sharp go-to-market strategy tailored to the plastics manufacturing space. Strategic Sales Planning: Develop short and long-term sales plans aligned with company growth objectives. Customer Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, vendors, and stakeholders across the supply chain. Sales Operations: Implement data-driven processes and CRM tools to improve pipeline visibility and forecast accuracy. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with marketing, product, and operations to ensure alignment across departments and maximize commercial impact. Performance Monitoring: Track team KPIs, analyze performance metrics, and continuously optimize for efficiency and results. Reporting: Deliver executive-level reporting on sales performance, forecasts, and opportunities for growth.
What You Bring to the Table: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. 10+ years of progressive sales experience, preferably in industrial or manufacturing environments. 5+ years of successful team management and leadership. 3+ years of direct experience in the plastics manufacturing industry—you know the materials, the market, and the margins. Proven track record of expanding into new markets and scaling sales operations.
