Sierra7, Inc. is seeking a Platform Administrator who will provide technical administration, maintenance, and operational support for platforms and tools used in the Department of Veterans Affairs Office of Inspector General (VA OIG) Enterprise Architecture (EA) Modernization initiative. This role ensures that EA platforms are securely configured, optimized for performance, compliant with federal IT standards, and accessible to stakeholders. The Platform Administrator will collaborate with architects, developers, and security teams to implement best practices, manage user access, and support modernization goals.

This is a TEMPORARY (6 months) full-time position in the Washington, DC area and onsite work will be necessary.

Position Responsibilities: • Provide support to administer, configure, and maintain enterprise architecture platforms, repositories, and associated tools supporting modernization activities. • Monitor platform performance, availability, and security; troubleshoot and resolve issues. • Implement platform updates, patches, and upgrades in coordination with security and IT operations teams. • Manage user access, permissions, and roles to ensure proper governance and compliance with federal security policies. • Support integration of EA platforms with related systems, applications, and data sources. • Maintain documentation of platform configurations, processes, and operational procedures. • Collaborate with the Solution Architect and Security Governance Lead to ensure platform designs meet modernization, security, and compliance requirements. • Assist in providing training and support to users and stakeholders of platform functionality and best practices. • Ensure all platform operations align with VA, OIG, and federal IT standards.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience managing cloud-based or on-premises platforms supporting enterprise architecture, IT governance, or digital modernization. • Strong understanding of user access management, platform configuration, and system integration. • Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and reporting tools. • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. • Ability to document technical processes clearly and effectively. • Experience using ServiceNow workflows and EA Suite. • Familiarity with federal IT policies and compliance requirements, desired. • Experience working with federal agencies, preferably VA, OIG, or oversight organizations, a plus. • Ability to obtain and maintain public trust clearance

Education & Experience: • Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered. • Minimum of 2 years' experience in system or platform administration within enterprise or federal IT environments. • Professional certifications in system administration, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), or IT service management, a plus.
