As a Level 1 Trauma Center and a leading healthcare facility in West Central Pennsylvania, our focus is on providing exceptional patient care in a collaborative environment. This role will involve caring for adults and geriatric patients, with a focus on trauma, orthopedic, and surgical cases. Key Responsibilities: - Provide direct patient care and support for orthopedic and trauma patients.- Monitor and assess patient conditions, documenting changes and responses to treatments.- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.- Educate patients and their families on health management and post-operative care.- Maintain accurate medical records using the EPIC electronic health record system.- Uphold patient safety and quality standards in a fast-paced hospital setting. Qualifications: - Current RN license (State requirements apply).- Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience; trauma or orthopedic experience is preferred.- BLS certification is required.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and float to different units as needed. Unit Information: - Number of Beds: Two units with 22 beds per side.- Patient Ratios: 1:6 ratio.- Equipment: Minimal; focus on direct patient care.- Supervisor: Katherine Stibach Hiring Requirements: Candidates must meet the following Pennsylvania requirements prior to starting:1. Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance2. Department of Human Services Fingerprinting3. FBI Department of Aging Fingerprinting (if needed)4.
