Key Finance Leadership Role - Partner with Executive Team Manufacturing Industry Sector Tenure Essential, On Site 5 Days a Week About Our Client The Financial Controller - Manufacturing will work for a well-established manufacturing company near Narragansett, Rhode Island. The position is on-site 5 days a week and is a key leadership role in the organization. This position will be responsible for all Accounting, FP&A and Costing for one facility and heavily involved with other facilities and Corporate HQ. Job Description Manage monthly budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis between budgeted and actual performance; present financial results and decision-making insights to management. Oversee standard cost analysis, including labor, overhead, and materials; monitor manufacturing costs, gross margin, and cost variances to optimize production efficiency. Develop return-on-investment models for capital expenditures and identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements. Maintain inventory control processes, including valuation, reconciliation, and physical inventory coordination; collaborate with production and supply chain teams to align financial strategies. Partner with departments including production, procurement, planning, and quality to ensure alignment of financial and operational goals. Prepare, monitor, and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) with factory supervisors and management to drive accountability and improvement. Perform monthly close, journal entries, general ledger maintenance, fixed assets, inter-company reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. Supervise accounts receivable, accounts payable, customer invoicing, and sales reporting, including treasury operations and bank coordination. Coordinate audit documentation, support external audit activities, and manage local and miscellaneous tax filings. Lead and develop accounting staff through coaching and performance reviews; manage vendor relationships including contract negotiations and service agreements. The Successful Applicant Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Related Field CPA or Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Related Field preferred, not essential 10 - 15+ years of progressive Financial Leadership tenure Proven track record in the Manufacturing Sector Large ERP System Understanding and Usage Strong collaboration skills with Executive Leadership in different locations/facilities What's on Offer Base Salary Range: $140,000 - $150,000 Bonus eligibility 401k plan Insurance: health, dental, vision PTO Planned facility shut downs National Days vacation Additional Director Level Benefits
