Akima Data Management (ADM) is seeking a Systems Administration VII to work in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This position is contingent upon contract award.
Responsibilities
Administers, develops, tests, implements, and maintains operating systems and related software. Establishes and enforces standards for computer operations to ensure hardware and software compatibility, troubleshooting and resolving related issues. Schedules, performs, and monitors system backups and data recovery processes. Recommends hardware and software upgrades based on growth statistics and disk space forecasts. Provides technical support for system users. Works independently with minimal supervision. Handles complex issues, referring only the most intricate problems to higher-level staff. May serve as a lead. Qualifications
At least 6 years of relevant technical and managerial experience supporting IT environments at the server/data center level. Experience includes backup and recovery, patching, Tier II/III support, performance tuning, hardware upgrades, operational configurations, and resource optimization. Proficiency in supporting Microsoft and Linux operating systems. Expertise in Microsoft enterprise management products. Ability to develop project management documentation. Ability to work independently. Experience managing and initiating projects. Serves as SME for IT projects. Associates degree or technical training certificate. Additional Information
