Description Conduct thorough evaluations for patients in inpatient or outpatient settings and craft tailored treatment plans Implement physical therapy interventions aimed at enhancing mobility, strength, balance, and overall functioning Work collaboratively with nurses, physicians, case managers, and other rehabilitation specialists to ensure optimal patient outcomes Guide patients and their families through therapeutic objectives, discharge planning, and home exercise regimens Accurately document all evaluations, treatment processes, and patient progress according to facility and regulatory standards Engage in multidisciplinary rounds and interdisciplinary conferences for coordinated patient care Education
Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent qualifications from an accredited program Certifications
State licensure as a
Physical Therapist CPR certification is preferred Specialized certifications (e.g., geriatric, neurological) are advantageous but not mandatory Skills
Preferred previous clinical experience Capability to address complex medical and mobility challenges Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Proficient in using digital charting and documentation systems Benefits
