Description Assess patients in both inpatient and outpatient environments and devise tailored treatment strategies Implement physical therapy techniques that prioritize mobility, strength, balance, and functional recovery Team up with nurses, physicians, case managers, and other rehabilitation specialists to enhance patient outcomes Inform patients and their families about therapeutic objectives, discharge processes, and home exercise recommendations Maintain meticulous records of evaluations, treatments, and progress, adhering to facility and regulatory requirements Engage in care team meetings and interdisciplinary discussions to ensure unified patient care Education
Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or the equivalent from an accredited institution Certifications
State licensure as a
Doctor of Physical Therapy CPR certification highly desired Specialty certifications (such as neurological or geriatric) are advantageous but not obligatory Skills
Prior experience is strongly preferred Competence in managing patients with multifaceted medical and mobility challenges Outstanding communication and teamwork abilities Proficient in digital charting and clinical documentation tools Benefits
