A leading hospital-based laboratory in Huntersville, NC is seeking a full-time Pathologists' Assistant to support a high-volume surgical pathology service. This position offers a consistent day shift and the opportunity to work alongside experienced pathologists and laboratory professionals in a modern, well-equipped facility.

Full-Time | Day Shift | Monday-Friday Collaborative environment with strong case variety and career growth potential What You'll Do: Perform gross dissection and description of complex surgical specimens
Assist pathologists during frozen section procedures and intraoperative consultations
Accession and process tissue specimens in accordance with lab protocols
Maintain proper documentation and photographic records of specimens
Ensure adherence to all safety regulations, CAP/CLIA guidelines, and infection control standards
Contribute to process improvement, quality assurance, and educational activities within the pathology department

Job Requirements
What You'll Need:
Master's degree from a NAACLS-accredited Pathologists' Assistant program (required) Certification as a Pathologists' Assistant (ASCP PA) or eligibility to obtain Strong understanding of anatomy and surgical pathology principles Excellent attention to detail and written documentation skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Prior hospital-based experience preferred, though strong new grads will be considered
