The Chief Engineer will oversee the physical building structure, all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems, and related equipment, ensuring compliance with energy conservation and preventative maintenance programs. Responsibilities include maintaining systems to regulatory standards, managing property assets, and adhering to safety criteria. The role involves managing budgets, capital projects, preventative maintenance, and energy conservation efforts. Additional duties include training, mentoring, and developing the engineering team, scheduling staff, and coordinating all engineering activities to ensure efficient hotel operations. Job Requirements
Minimum requirements include five years of experience as a Chief Engineer or facilities engineer in a hospitality environment. Extensive knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, and safety systems is essential. Familiarity with OSHA regulations, building codes, equipment operations, and preventive maintenance procedures is required.
