Job Title: Legal Administrative Assistant

Location: Sacramento, CA (On-site )

Job Type: Full-Time

Reports To: Office Manager / Senior Attorney

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and professional Legal Administrative Assistant to support attorneys and legal staff with administrative and clerical tasks in our Sacramento office. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a law firm or legal department, be highly organized, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Draft, edit, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and reports Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate court dates and deadlines File legal documents with courts and other relevant agencies (electronic and physical filing) Maintain and organize physical and digital client files in accordance with legal standards Answer phones, greet clients, and handle general office communication Process incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries Prepare and submit billing, timesheets, and expense reports Conduct basic legal research and gather case-related information as needed Assist with document production for litigation or transactional matters Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred Minimum 3+ years of administrative experience in a legal setting Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) Familiarity with legal software such as Clio, MyCase, or similar case management systems Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Preferred Skills:

Knowledge of California court procedures and local filing requirements Bilingual (Spanish or another language) a plus Notary Public certification a plus
