BlackRock's Global Compliance Department protects BlackRock's reputation and provides advice to the business focused on ensuring the protection of our client's best interests. The department is a dynamic environment with the team focused on understanding evolving business strategy, challenging and advising on the impact of regulations in our business, with the objective of: actively participating in business decisions to champion our clients' interests and assist the business in translating Compliance into their daily work and decision making; cultivating and enhancing BlackRock's compliance culture; providing thought leadership on the impact and implementation of regulations to our business and to the market; and developing and fostering excellence within the Compliance team. Job Purpose

This role is part of the Global Financial Crime Team based in New York/Wilmington, responsible for AMRS implementation of strategic priorities as it relates to Financial Crime Alternative compliance initiatives in the Americas and globally where needed. The role reports to the AMRS Head for Financial Crime compliance. Key Responsibilities

+ Conduct financial crime reviews of private transactions and related parties within the Alternatives business (e.g., Private Equity, Hedge Fund of Funds, Real Estate, Infrastructure, etc.) and partnering with key stakeholders including business, operations, risk management, legal and compliance + Leverage due diligence tools and engage with third-party providers, including corporate intelligence firms, to identify potential risks associated with alternatives and direct private transactions and associated parties, by assessing multiple information sources and negative media alerts from screenings + Assist as needed in addressing allegations of fraud or misconduct related to an alternative private transaction + Conduct periodic monitoring and testing to assess the effectiveness of the FC compliance program, including oversight of private fund transfer agents + Support data collection, organization, and evaluations related to the Alternative private transaction process, and provide management reporting + Assist with the internal escalation and assessment of higher risk alternative and direct private transactions to internal stakeholders and committees (e.g., the Reputational Risk Committee) + Support compliance with FC regulations for private funds established in the AMRS Region + Assist with the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to alternative and direct private transactions + Work within a global team and communicate effectively to members of that team In addition: + Participate with AMRS FC team in Dashboard trade clearance + Participate in global and regional committees related to managing financial crime risk + Provide FC Advisory coverage where needed within team + Conduct FC training for business and legal and compliance Knowledge/Experience

+ The successful candidate should have 5+ years of experience in compliance or risk management, preferably at other financial institutions or consulting firms, including experience with at least one of the following compliance frameworks: anti-money laundering, anti-bribery and anti-corruption (e.g., Foreign Corrupt Practices Act), sanctions (e.g. OFAC), or fraud + Knowledge of financial crime regulatory requirements in the United States and Cayman Islands + Experience analyzing data and developing presentation materials for business stakeholders + Have a proactive approach to business issues, identifying areas of improvement & enhancement including the automation of processes + Strong governance and document management skills + Proven ability to work as part of a global team as well as independently in a fast-paced environment + Excellent communication, judgment and business partnership skills + Proactive, self-motivated and with excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize workloads and adhere to deadlines Salary and Benefits

For New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$137,500.00 - USD$194,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance. For Wilmington, DE Only the salary range for this position is USD$117,500.00 - USD$173,500.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits.
