A prominent law firm in New York City is seeking an experienced Employment Litigation Associate to join its legal team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated attorney with a strong background in employment litigation defense to work on complex matters involving harassment, discrimination, wage and hour class actions, and transactional employment issues. The position also involves providing strategic advice and counsel to clients across multiple jurisdictions. Duties
Represent clients in employment litigation, including harassment, discrimination, and wage and hour class action matters. Provide transactional employment advice and counsel to clients. Draft and review employment-related policies, contracts, and handbooks. Analyze employment agreements and executive compensation structures. Participate in the development and implementation of litigation strategies. Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, pleadings, motions, and briefs. Attend court appearances, mediations, and depositions. Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of experience in employment litigation defense. Experience in providing employment law advice and transactional support. Strong familiarity with state and federal employment laws. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to work independently and in a team setting. Admission to the New York Bar (required). Admission in additional states (Connecticut, New Jersey, California) is a plus. Experience in plaintiff-side representation, labor law, and/or portable business is a plus but not required. Education
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Certifications
Active license to practice law in New York State. Additional bar admissions in CT, NJ, or CA are beneficial. Skills
Strong legal research and analytical skills. Exceptional drafting and negotiation abilities. Proven litigation experience with attention to detail.
