Description
The Records, Enrollment, and Transfer Specialist plays a vital role in supporting the Registrar's Office by maintaining accurate and timely student records. This position is responsible for managing the registration process for online health science programs and non-degree-seeking students, as well as overseeing the evaluation and processing of transfer credits for current students.

Responsibilities
Oversee the course approval process and evaluate transfer credit for current students, including managing incoming transcripts, maintaining the transfer equivalency database (course, high school, articulation agreements, credit-by-exam), and coordinating with Global Education for study abroad credit. Collaborate with Undergraduate Admissions, Advising, and the University Registrar to develop and refine transfer credit policies and processes. Process student actions such as withdrawals, attendance drops, leaves of absence, academic petitions, enrollment/degree verifications, and registration overrides for specific student populations. Manage registration coding, calendars, and term setup; oversee grading processes, including off-cycle grading, adjustments, and resolution of discrepancies. Maintain accurate academic records for accelerated programs (4+1, 3+2, GradVantage) and ensure compliance with repeat course and curriculum policies. Support degree auditors by processing approved degree requirement exceptions and overrides. Advise and assist students using VA education benefits, including certifying enrollment, tracking changes, and ensuring federal compliance. Provide guidance on interpreting and applying university policies related to records, enrollment, degree auditing, and transfer credit; resolve complex issues in collaboration with registrars. Review and update standard operating procedures, implement process improvements, and generate reports to analyze enrollment and curriculum data. Provide general Registrar's Office support, including front office coverage, managing inquiries, assisting with commencement, and verifying enrollment or degrees during peak periods. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a University Registrar's Office or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in an educational setting with regular interaction across various offices. Preferred experience with Ellucian Banner or other student information systems (e.g., Ellucian Colleague, Jenzabar, PeopleSoft, Workday). Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a diverse community. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, manage multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain productivity despite interruptions. Judgment to apply university policies appropriately, with the ability to recognize and address situations where policy interpretation is required to maintain academic integrity. Experience with report writing software such as Access or COGNOS. Effective communication skills, both oral and written. Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures, student records principles, policies, and computerized student information systems. Ability to maintain confidentiality of student academic records.
