Summary of Position The Facilities Operations Specialistsupports the smooth operation of our building by handling general maintenance, and minor repairs during the day-to-day operation of Horizons’ facility. Key responsibilities include basic building upkeep, ensuring safety, and assisting the Facilities Manager.Essential skills involve problem-solving, attention to detail, physical stamina, and basic knowledge of trades such as plumbing and carpentry. Responsibilities Log, track, prioritize and resolve facility-related issues using the support ticketing system in a timely and efficient manner.

Direct cars flow at the parking garage during drop-off/pick-up times and special events.

Perform minor repairs to facilities, including but not limited to painting.

Spot clean floors and/or carpet, furniture and walls.

Facilitate office moves and meeting rooms’ set up.

Assist with organizing office spaces, closets, storage rooms, conference and common areas to maintain a clean and efficient work environment.

Maintain and ensure safe facility environment including standards for maintenance and upkeep of facility's equipment. Notify management of all unusual events, circumstances, or other safety or quality control issues.

Balance multiple tasks and adapt to evolving maintenance needs.

Always represent the company in a professional and positive manner. Maintain and enhance the Horizons’ image when interacting with clients, guests, associates, and vendors.

Perform additional duties as needed.

Starting salary range, compensation, and benefits $54,200-57,000 is the starting salary range for this specialist role. Your starting salary will fall within that range depending on your competencies, experience, and skillset. Your total compensation package includes the following benefits: Health coverage options designed to be as comprehensive and affordable for you as possible, with Horizons covering between 70-75% of premiums (a value that ranges from an additional $10,000 –30,000 per year based on your enrollment choices). While you have a choice between an HMO and PPO plan for medical coverage, most employees pay $99 for individual, $199 for 2-person, or $314 for family coverage per biweekly paycheck and never pay more than $300 for individual or $600 for 2-person/family toward deductibles. The work you will perform is active taking place in a school setting working alongside others. You can expect to work onsite 5 days a week (M-F). Qualifications Qualifications Education and Experience High school diploma.

Building/facility maintenance experience

Plumbing experience preferred

Strong customer service skills

Experience pro-actively assisting customers and coworkers with maintenance and facility requests

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Computer knowledge preferred in Microsoft Suite

Team player with excellent communication skills

Must have a valid driver’s license

Ability to effectively organize and coordinate multiple priorities

Ability to solve problems and take ownership of resolutions

Able to lift more than 50 lbs., re-arrange furniture and put furniture together

Familiarity with the use of ladders and adherence to safety standards, regulations and best practices in maintenance.
