Safety Trainer
for Program Support on a contingent, exempt 1099 contract basis, located in Bethesda, Maryland, supporting comprehensive industrial hygiene, environmental health, and safety services across NIH facilities in the Mid Atlantic Region. The Safety Trainer will support professional services engagement for Environmental Management Sector clients such as NIH, focusing on environmental management, safety training, education, and capacity building. Job Overview
Provide safety training and support services in the environmental management industry sector, focusing on NIH and HHS agencies, primarily in Bethesda, Maryland, and the broader Mid Atlantic region. Responsibilities
Develop NIH-specific curricula for lab safety, biosafety, and emergency protocols. Deliver in-person and e-learning training sessions. Maintain training databases and compliance records. Evaluate knowledge retention and program effectiveness. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Education, or Public Health. 3–5 years of safety training experience in laboratory or healthcare settings. Skills and Competencies
Instructional design, communication, facilitation, engagement, clarity, adaptability. Additional Responsibilities
Create NIH compliance-focused safety manuals. Advise managers on training gaps. Other Details
Work closely with safety professionals. Additional Information
