Watch Our Story We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Building Engineering Services (BES) group, which provides industry-leading electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and other design services for diverse building projects, including public, municipal, private, and government sectors. Our team specializes in sectors such as Water/Wastewater, Datacenters, Healthcare, and Industrial facilities. Key Responsibilities
Coordinate electrical work within multidisciplinary project teams Establish and maintain client relationships; participate in marketing and project meetings Lead electrical design efforts on multiple projects Ensure code compliance through reviews with governing agencies Conduct design sessions at project sites alongside project teams Manage project workload and schedules Monitor project budgets and adjust efforts accordingly Collaborate with project managers and regional teams for project reviews Mentor junior staff and oversee electrical engineering activities Perform additional duties as needed Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical focus Healthcare or datacenter experience preferred Interest or experience in sustainable design/LEED is a plus Local candidates preferred Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis Minimum of 10 years of electrical design experience in building projects Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license Extensive knowledge of electrical power, lighting, signal design, and safety systems Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and electrical design software Strong commitment to our employee-owned culture Our Values and Culture HDR is our company.
