Description An individual in this role would be primarily responsible for the support and facilitation of all retail-related training. During times of the year when the retail demand is lower this role will assist in the facilitation of our internal Professional Development Certification Program. Retail Onboarding:

Oversee the onboarding training for all new retail employees, ensuring a seamless transition: Develop, maintain and distribute new hire training calendars; represent L&D on recruiting calls to coordinate with HR and Retail Leadership. Copy/collate retail training materials for in-person sessions. Facilitate training sessions on core retail banking systems (COCC). Oversee the multi-department training day for new hires with the potential to extend that training to support a deeper learning experience into areas such as BSA/Compliance/Fraud upon assessment of gaps in the current program. Facilitate Customer Relationship training for new hires and existing employees. Collect, maintain, and review new hire training proficiencies. Organize/oversee communication channels between in-branch trainers, L&D, new hire, and destination branch managers to assess needs to alter training plans with an individualized approach. Distribution and collection of retail onboarding and training satisfaction surveys. Retail Training Initiatives: Provide ongoing support and classroom for in-branch refresher training for existing employees on system procedure and policy updates and best practices. Support and implement training programs tailored to retail banking teams, including customer service, compliance, sales, and operational procedures. Communicate training initiatives with Retail Leadership on BM calls and in-person BM/ABM meetings. Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness using data from training satisfaction surveys, work with the L&D team to adjust content and delivery as needed to improve learning outcomes. Maintain compliance with industry regulations and ensure training aligns with banking policies and procedures. Be available, when needed, to travel to branches to deliver smaller group sessions to accommodate branch schedules/capacity. Other Training: Conducts training needs analysis as needs in key areas of support. Facilitates other training courses as needed, such as interpersonal skills in those related to the Bank’s professional development certification program. Requirements Excellent written and oral communication skills Strong organization skills and attention to detail Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Willingness to travel to different locations within the Bank's footprint Ability to facilitate trainings in a virtual or live setting of various sized audiences Training Specialist: 5-7 years of facilitation experience Previous background in banking Sr. Training Specialist 8-10 years of facilitation experience Banking training experience Training & Facilitation certification preferred (Certified Professional - Talent Development or similar)
