This position will focus on delivering exceptional patient care in a busy PreOperative and Post Anesthesia Care Unit. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in PACU nursing, demonstrate excellent clinical skills, and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: - Provide high-quality nursing care for patients undergoing surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort during the preoperative and postoperative phases.- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history and physical exams, to determine appropriate care plans.- Monitor vital signs and manage patient pain levels effectively, adjusting care as needed.- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols and patient needs.- Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.- Educate patients and their families about postoperative care instructions and recovery expectations.- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives. Qualifications: - Minimum of 18 months recent nursing experience in the PACU setting is required.- Current and valid RN license in Ohio or a Compact State is necessary.- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications are mandatory.- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.- Willingness to be on-call for nights and weekends as required.- Must successfully complete ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation. Shift Details: - Shift Type: Day 4x10-Hour (07:00 - 17:30)- Call Required: Yes (Nights + Weekend) Additional Information: - Candidates will need to provide a reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty applying for.- All required clinical modules must be completed prior to starting, with the flexibility of completing onboarding essentials at your convenience.- Strong attention to detail is essential due to the facility's policies and compliance requirements.
