Pay Information $2,312 per week About The Position Job Title: RN - Level 3 Emergency Department Observation Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Department Observation Duration: 17 weeks Shift: Rotating shifts including days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Two years of Med/Surg experience required License: RN License (New York only) Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association only), Telemetry, NIHSS (preferred) Must-Have: Can commit to 17 weeks Description: The Observation unit cares for adult patients needing additional observation to determine if their condition is serious enough for admission to the hospital or if they can be treated and released home safely. This is a fast-paced environment that manages 20 to 27 patients per day. The average length of stay is 27 hours. The unit has 24/7 provider coverage. Care is provided for a diverse adult population, including both emergency observation and admitted boarding patients. These patients may have a range of needs from short stays to full admissions.
