Healthcare Setting: 138-bed acute care community hospital Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) Unit: Medical-Surgical Telemetry Nursing Shifts: 12-hour nights (1845 - 0715), 3 shifts per week Hours per Week: 36 Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 9/22/2025 - End: 12/21/2025) Call Requirements: No call required Holiday/Weekend: May be required to work major holidays and weekends Floating: May float to ICU, medical-surgical units, or other local hospitals as needed Estimated Weekly Salary: $1680 - $1800 Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent telemetry nursing experience Active Nevada RN license (required prior to start) BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS (APEX) certifications Ability to pass a telemetry competency exam, including rhythm strip identification and measurement Med/Surg Telemetry Nurse Responsibilities Provide high-quality patient care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations using the nursing process Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care Diagnose and treat health conditions such as CHF, alcohol withdrawal, NSTEMI, sepsis, dysrhythmias, pneumonia, COPD, COVID-19, and post-procedure patients (pacemakers, ablations, cath lab) Administer non-titratable cardiac medication drips (Cardizem, Lasix, Nitro, etc.) Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure patient-centered care Float to other hospital units as needed, within competency level Maintain standards of nursing quality and safety as measured by unit/department age-specific competency standards Educate and support patients and their families/caregivers Why Choose Reno, Nevada for Your Next Travel Nursing Job?
