This unit caters to individuals who have undergone gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and head and neck surgeries, including those with oncological conditions. Key Responsibilities: - Provide high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population, focusing on post-operative recovery.- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement patient care plans effectively.- Monitor patient vital signs and telemetry readings, ensuring prompt action on any changes.- Adapt to a fast-paced and ever-changing hospital environment while maintaining a positive and team-oriented approach.- Participate in weekend shifts, holidays, on-call, and callback duties as required. Qualifications: - Active Registered Nurse License in New York (NY License ONLY).- Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience, with a strong background in telemetry.- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association. Skills Required: - Strong clinical assessment and decision-making abilities.- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a high-pressure environment. Contract Details: - Guaranteed hours with a contract length of 117 weeks.- Rotating shift schedule including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
