This position requires working four 10-hour shifts. Candidates will work in both the main operating room and an additional surgical center. On-call shifts will include Saturday nights from 7 PM to 7 AM and Sunday from 7 AM to 7 PM. Monitoring post-operative patients' levels of recovery and consciousness from anesthesia is essential. Obtaining and recording patients' vital signs is required. Candidates will observe patients for signs of side effects from anesthesia medication. Treating pain, nausea, and other post-operative symptoms will be necessary, as well as administering prescribed medication. Updating charting, patient files, and medical records is part of the role. Educating patients and their families on post-surgery care and answering questions will be expected.
