Boulder County Parks and Open Space is seeking to hire an Administrative Specialist. This position requires a candidate with effective and respectful communication skills, strong organizational abilities, critical thinking, and proactive problem-solving capabilities. Responsibilities include database management, creating and manipulating financial analysis tools in Excel, and handling invoice preparation and accounts payable. Familiarity with agricultural operations and bookkeeping is highly desired. This is a part-time benefited position that will work 24 hours per week. This position will work the following schedule: Monday: Off, Tuesday: 8am-12pm, Wednesday: 8am-4:30pm, Thursday: 8am-4:30pm, Friday 8am-12pm. This position will work at 5201 St. Vrain Rd, in Longmont, CO. Under Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) guidelines, this position is exempt. Boulder County requires its employees to reside in the state of Colorado as of the first day of work. Hiring Salary Range: $32,392.00 - $39,524.00 Annually. Tentative Hiring Timeline: Phone Screening: September 25th and 26th, First Round Interviews: Week of September 29th, Second Round Interviews: Week of September 29th, Reference Check: October 3rd. New employees receive a 48-hour bank of vacation at the time of hire, in addition to 8 hours of both vacation and medical leave accruals each month. Examples of Duties: Preparing and paying invoices (e.g. water assessments, crop insurance, crop inputs like fertilizer, etc.) Use of a database to aid in the processing of invoices and data entry/tracking agricultural inputs Downloading information from the database to manipulate it Excel through pivot tables and other formula Collaborate with the Ag Division in understanding farm operations on a property by property basis Effective and respectful communication and an active and engaged member of the team Required Qualifications: When completing your application describe all relevant education and experience, as applications are assessed based on the required qualifications listed. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Boulder County is looking for well qualified candidates to fill our positions. Any combination of relevant education and experience is encouraged. In this position, we are looking for a minimum of a high school diploma, or equivalent, plus at least five years of professional related experience.
