Construction Management & Capital Projects Director
The City of Fayetteville is currently recruiting for a Construction Management & Capital Projects Director to perform responsible management work in the design, construction, and maintenance of all City facilities; manage and oversee the implementation of capital projects and other complex, highly sensitive projects for the City; develop and implement the City's annual Capital Improvement Program (CIP) process and assist with other elements such as sustainability and special projects as assigned; and deliver projects on time and within budget through proactive project management and transparent reporting. Essential duties and responsibilities include managing and overseeing all capital facility construction projects for the City, assisting in the development and implementation of portions of the City's annual CIP, providing staff support to various boards and commissions, and providing consistent, transparent, and proactive communication with Council members, stakeholders, and the public regarding the status and progress of all major projects. Minimum qualifications include seven years of increasingly responsible experience in construction/project management, civil engineering or related field with four years of supervisory experience. Public sector experience preferred. A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or directly related field is required. Licensing and certifications required include a Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Architect. The selection process is anticipated to last 4 - 6 weeks.
