The purpose of this position is to assist with the installation, maintenance, diagnoses, and repair of problems associated with numerous fire alarm systems; pneumatic, electrical and electronic controls; a Local Area Network computer data distribution system serving 250+ personal computers; a satellite television distribution system serving 233+ television sets; a public address system serving 500 speakers; all of which are distributed over 200 acres and encompass 500,000 square feet of enclosed building area. Salary Grade NC09; Recruitment Range: $39,671.00 - $69,426.00 Position 60038526 - Maintenance - Monday - Friday, 1st shift (7:30 am - 4:00 pm), work schedule may vary and include evening, weekend, holiday, and emergencies hours. Management Preference: Documented maintenance and/or repair experience with fire alarm systems, computers, TVs, and/or PA systems. Documented work related experience in a commercial setting (ex: school, hospital, institutional). Documented work experience with fire alarm systems. Physical Requirements: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Associate's degree in electronics from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of experience in the repair and maintenance of a variety of specialized electronic devices, preferably including some responsibility for circuit modification; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Based on the nature of work performed, may require appropriate licensure by the governing board or commission. Degrees must be from appropriately accredited colleges or universities.
