As Communications Department Director, you’ll lead a dedicated team of speech-language pathologists and a symbol board technician, set departmental goals, and ensure that residents receive exceptional speech, language, and communication services. You’ll oversee clinical quality, mentor clinicians in creating innovative, person-centered programs, and promote the effective use of assistive technology. Through hands-on leadership, collaboration, and creative problem-solving, you’ll inspire your team to deliver services that enrich communication, independence, and overall quality of life for every resident. Lead a team of speech-language pathologists and a symbol board technician. Set departmental goals and ensure high-quality speech, language, and communication services for residents. Oversee clinical quality and mentor clinicians in innovative, person-centered programs. Promote the effective use of assistive technology and interdisciplinary collaboration. Requirements / Qualifications
Licensed by the Board of Examiners for Speech and Language Pathologists and Audiologists and four years of professional diagnostic and treatment experience. Experience evaluating and treating speech, language, and hearing disorders in adults and/or children with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including AAC. Experience supervising professional staff, conducting evaluations, and coordinating integrated treatment plans. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (medical, nursing, OT, PT, special education). Knowledge of clinical outcomes, quality metrics, and program improvement. Strong commitment to person-centered communication services and team-based work. Additional details
Position is Mandatory and must report or stay over during adverse weather events. Salary Grade MH20; Recruitment Range $79,770.00 - $131,620.00 Position 60048652 - Professional Services/ Communications Shift: 1st shift, Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with variation About J.
