Human Resources Generalist (H) at the University of Miami. The Human Resources Generalist assists in the delivery of client-based services of Human Resources programs and processes relative to employee relations, recruitment and selection, compensation administration, benefit program administration, client relationship management and special projects. Responsibilities
Administers various human resources plans and procedures for all personnel; assists in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains employee handbook and policies and procedure manuals. Partners with the client services manager to develop department goals, objectives, and systems. Partners with the manager to administer compensation changes, support recruitment efforts and needs, both with system driven data inputting needs as well as execution of various employment actions. Supports manager in facilitation of meetings and training sessions for the client. Performs benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment, and communicating benefit information to employees. Assists in conducting new-employee orientations; monitors career pathing program. Handles employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling, and exit interviewing. Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed. Inputs and maintains Human Resource Information System records and compiles reports from database. Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment. Education: Bachelor's degree in relevant field Experience: Minimum 3 Years Of Relevant Experience Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience and/or certifications may be considered.
