Summary Provide strategic leadership for the tax department, develop business opportunities, mentor managers, and ensure delivery of exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and manage the preparation and review of complex federal and state tax returns for entities involved in real estate transactions, including partnerships, LLCs, and corporations

Provide subject matter expertise in 1031 like-kind exchanges, ensuring full compliance with IRS guidelines

Conduct tax research and advise on the tax implications of real estate deals, structuring, and deferrals

Serve as the primary tax point of contact at the client site, building trusted relationships with client stakeholders

Lead tax planning strategies for high-net-worth individuals and real estate investors

Collaborate with legal, finance, and accounting teams to ensure seamless execution of client engagements

Review and supervise the work of staff and senior accountants assigned to the client project

Monitor legislative changes and IRS guidance related to real estate and exchange rules
