PR & Events Manager As a Public Relations & Events Manager with Swatch Group, U.S. & Caribbean, the position will be responsible for developing and implementing the brand’s PR and media strategy, building its reputation, and ensuring effective media coverage along with events execution. You will draft or oversee the creation of media releases and content on various media channels, forge relationships with journalists and key influencers and manage the response to time-sensitive and critical situations. The PR & Events Manager will be responsible for day-to-day media relations activities for the Brand. Primary Duties And Responsibilities
Grow brand awareness and market share through strategic product PR campaigns Collaborate with Marketing Manager to align PR strategy with business/marketing communications objectives and to support overall marketing plans Plan and implement yearly product PR campaigns under guidance from the global marketing communications team and in close collaboration with local marketing management (MM) Develop public relations strategies for current and existing products, launches, and promotions Generate new ideas and opportunities to ensure brand success Create high-quality, informative press releases, press kits, and related materials if not provided by HQ Act as project lead for PR initiatives from concept development through execution Prepare presentations, reports, and information for multiple communication channels Manage U.S. media relations, contacts, and networking for SG Corporate and brand executives Maintain proactive contact with different media through regular interaction Coordinate watches for photoshoots and PR placements as needed Analyze PR program outputs to maximize effectiveness and ROI Create and manage PR budget including deadlines, objectives, schedule and invoicing process Events
Plan and execute local and national events for the Rado Brand in the US with retail partners, national branding events, PR events and sponsorships Manage event planning, location scouting, run-of-show creation, theme development, travel management, security coordination, permits and logistics Implement planning timelines for pre-event proposals, approvals and logistics, setup, on-site schedule and run of events Pre-event preparation, approvals and post-event recaps and analysis Develop weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual media activity reports Collaborate with team on new ideas and strategies Maintain strong relationships with media and industry leaders Oversee event budget, including budgeting, monitoring, and SAP administrative processes Create presentations, articles, reports, and information for websites, blogs, and social media Domestic and international travel required All other duties assigned by Management Education and Experience Requirements
Must have 4 or more years of related PR experience (consumer luxury products, media, agency, corporate environment) Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Advertising, Journalism, Marketing or Business Must have knowledge and experience of traditional and new / social / digital media PR tactics Excellent communication and writing skills Event planning experience Strong media contacts and a track record of securing national and top-tier media placements Able to foster relationships and maintain connections Thrives in a fast-paced, fluid environment and can prioritize multiple responsibilities Able to work weekends as needed; travel up to 35% Benefits
