Position Overview
Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a
Payroll Manager
for a mission-driven caregiving services organization. This is a full-time,
onsite role based in Long Beach, CA .
Responsibilities
Manage accurate and timely payroll processing for a large California-based workforce.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of payroll professionals, fostering strong performance and growth.
Ensure full compliance with state and federal payroll laws and regulations, including regular audits.
Oversee payroll system management, optimization, and implementation of new technology.
Support payroll integration during acquisitions and organizational transitions.
Partner with auditors on payroll tax audits and other compliance reviews.
Qualifications
Proven leadership experience in payroll management, including training and team development.
Strong knowledge of California payroll tax laws and compliance requirements.
Proficiency with
Paychex
and other automated payroll systems.
Track record of implementing payroll process improvements.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

$103,000 annually

Compensation and Benefits This role offers a salary of
