American Traveler is seeking an experienced CT Technologist for a weekend day shift position, requiring ARRT CT and R certification, BLS, IV certification, and an active NY state license.Job Details•Position based in an emergency department radiology unit with 27 rooms,•Covers a patient population from neonate through geriatric,•Staffing ratios are 1:3 on days and 1:8 on weekends,•Work involves adult and pediatric acute care and Level II trauma setting,•Primary schedule is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM (3x12 hour shifts),•No rotating shifts required,•Use of PACS and Siemens equipment, with Omnicell for medication management,•Documentation is completed in EPIC; EPIC experience is preferred but not required,•First week orientation is Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with ongoing shifts following the weekend schedule,•Unit accepts first-time travelers,Job Requirements•Current ARRT (CT) and ARRT (R) certification required,•Active NY state license required at time of consideration (license required if applicable),•Current BLS certification required,•IV certification is required,•A minimum of 2 years' CT technologist experience,•Experience in acute care, emergency department, and pediatric settings required,•Proficiency with PACS, Siemens equipment, and contrast media administration,•Skill in 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction (MRP), ROI measurement, and both general and trauma imaging,•COVID-19 vaccine required; no exceptions,•Ability to start peripheral IVs and perform venipuncture,•Two professional supervisor references required (charge RN not accepted),•Hard copy of certifications and license may be required,Additional Information•Responsibilities include performing a wide range of CT procedures including head, neck, chest, abdomen, pelvis, spine, musculoskeletal, and vascular studies with and without contrast,•Involves preparation and administration of contrast media, following isolation precautions, and practicing radiation safety,•Support from pharmacy, radiology, NP, and hospitalist available 24/7,•Orientation consists of 8 hours,•Navy blue scrubs required,•One pre-approved time-off request allowed per contract; no time off permitted in the first two weeks,•Local candidates are accepted at the same rate,•Return staff must have a one year gap before eligibility for travel positions,•Parking provided at no cost in employee garage with badge pick-up,],•hash,:•105728142824657071,
